Swing Cane FAQs

What makes the Swing Cane different from other canes?

The Dynamo Swing Cane is a Level 3 Device, designed for users who need maximum support and stability. It is ideal for those requiring advanced assistance with balance or weight-bearing. The Swing Foot base is what makes this cane truly unique—it provides more ground contact than traditional cane tips, offering superior stability on all surfaces.

What is the Swing Foot, and how does it improve stability?

The Swing Foot is a wide, foot-shaped, all-terrain base designed to move naturally with your stride. Unlike small rubber cane tips, the Swing Foot pivots and adapts as you walk, keeping maximum surface contact for better grip and balance. This increased stability is especially helpful for users navigating uneven surfaces, slopes, or dealing with balance concerns.

Can I replace my Swing Foot with a Cyclone Tip instead?

No. The Swing Foot and Cyclone Tip are not interchangeable.

  • The Swing Foot is designed exclusively for the Swing Cane and cannot be swapped for a Cyclone Tip.
  • The Cyclone Tip is only for Cyclone Cane, GoStick, and PrimeStick and cannot be attached to the Swing Cane.

Each base is designed for specific weight distribution, movement, and stability needs.

How will I know when to replace the Swing Foot?

Replace the Swing Foot if you notice:

  • Worn-out tread or reduced grip
  • Cracks, tears, or visible damage
  • Reduced stability or slippage on surfaces

Regular inspection ensures optimal safety and performance.

Where can I buy a Swing Foot Replacement Kit?

Replacement Swing Feet are available at dynamome.com. Using genuine Dynamo parts ensures a proper fit and safe use.

Is the Swing Foot covered under warranty?

The Swing Foot is covered by a 30-day warranty against manufacturing defects. However, general wear and tear are not covered under warranty.

For warranty claims, contact questions@dynamome.com.

What are the instructions for the Swing Foot Replacement Kit?

  1. Insert the Adjustment Tool into the appropriate holes on both sides of the foot.
  2. Push the tool in until secure.
  3. Squeeze both sides of the Adjustment Tool while pulling the foot away from the cane base.
  4. Remove the hub from the original foot (found on the left side with the large diameter hole).
  5. Insert the hub into the new foot with the cutout side facing up.
  6. Place the cane base into the foot’s notch.
  7. Squeeze the locking clips on both sides while pushing the cane into the foot until you hear a "click," indicating a secure position.

Is the Swing Cane height adjustable?

Yes, the Swing Cane is height adjustable to fit a wide range of users.
To find your proper height: Stand naturally with your arm relaxed at your side. The cane’s handle should align with the break in your wrist.
Adjustments are made using a push-button system.

Does the Swing Cane come with a warranty?

Yes. The Swing Cane is covered by Dynamo’s standard warranty:

  • Limited Lifetime Warranty on the aluminum frame.
  • 30-Day Warranty on the Swing Foot, grip, and adjustment mechanism.

For warranty claims, please contact our support team at questions@dynamome.com.

How does the Swing Cane compare to other Dynamo products like the Cyclone Cane, GoStick, and PrimeStick?

The Swing Cane is Dynamo’s most supportive and stable mobility device and is classified as a Level 3 Device, meaning it is designed for maximum weight support and advanced balance assistance.

Here’s how it compares to other Dynamo models:

  • Cyclone Cane (Level 2) – A highly stable, everyday-use cane featuring the Cyclone Tip, which pivots for better grip and traction. It provides strong support but is not as wide or stable as the Swing Cane’s Swing Foot base.
  • GoStick (Level 2) – An improved, foldable version of the Cyclone Cane, making it ideal for users who need a more portable solution without sacrificing stability.
  • PrimeStick (Level 1) – A light-support device that functions as a cane, walking stick, or trekking pole. It is the least supportive of the four models, designed for users who need occasional balance assistance rather than full-time stability.

If you need the highest level of support, the Swing Cane is the best choice in the Dynamo lineup.

Which canes are compatible with the Swing Foot Replacement Kit?

The Swing Foot Replacement Kit is only compatible with the Dynamo Swing Cane.
It does not fit other Dynamo canes, such as the Cyclone Cane, GoStick, or PrimeStick, which use the Cyclone Tip instead.

What is the Swing Foot Replacement Kit?

The Swing Foot Replacement Kit allows users to replace a worn-out or damaged Swing Foot on their Dynamo Swing Cane. The kit includes:

  • Replacement Swing Foot (Left and Right side options)
  • Adjustment Tool for secure installation

This kit ensures your Swing Cane maintains maximum stability and traction on all surfaces.

How long does the Swing Foot last?

The lifespan of the Swing Foot depends on usage and terrain, but it typically lasts 6 to 12 months under normal conditions.

Dynamo Swing Cane

Excellent cane. Only problem I have had was, little plastic tab that holds the height adjustment on my first cane broke. Suggest it should be made of metal not plastic.

Never received the cane

This company is not reliable. This is our second cane and like the first one it has taken weeks/months to arrive. Now I’m being asked to review the cane that “arrived” 10 days ago. We did not receive it and I’m not surprised given our first experience. Here’s your review.

Great Support

I have lumbar nerve compression after an accident. While my muscles are strong and I can walk around 3,000 steps a day, because of nerve compression I am unable to walk like this without the support of 2 sticks. I honestly believe that my 2 Swing Canes are the only supports that would have made this possible.
